The 9th Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic returns with 64+ teams with boys and girls brackets.

We are designed to host athletic events, trade shows, concerts, graduations, receptions and other social events.

New security measures to ensure your safety and sponsorship opportunities for local businesses to reach the thousands of people that come to the Alario Center annually.

New Security Measures

The Alario Center is initiating new security measures to meet recommended industry standards and best practices for ensuring the security of the complex and, most importantly, the safety of all persons in the facility. Security measures are being implemented and will include bag checks, hand wanding and walk-through metal detectors.

Today the Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic will honor two of the Alario Center's own: Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office's Detective David Michel who ran our police details for years and Alario Center Operations Manager, Drew Copponex. In Dave's name the tournament will present five $1500 scholarships for exemplary grades & citizenship at the conclusion of the 5:30p Girls Championship. The Boys National Bracket Tournament MVP will be awarded The Drew Copponex Memorial MVP Trophy at the conclusion of 7pm Boys National Final. Both families will be on hand today to present the awards.
